USE (UML-based Specification Environment) is, as the name suggests, a software solution designed for the specification and validation of information systems. It is based on a subset of the Unified Modeling Language, or UML, and the Object Constraint Language (OCL).
The program can be used either from the GUI or the command-line. Of course, the latter is aimed at experienced users who have no problems using Command Prompt, as well as for automating various processes, as the commands can be triggered from a script file.

Since this is a Java-based application, Java Runtime Environment needs to be available on your PC. However, the program itself does not need to be installed on your computer before use.
The graphical user interface features a layout that can be customized by the user based on their current project and what they are working on. The tree view that shows the contents of the model is displayed on the left, and the workspace on the right can be used to open other views.
Views can be added or removed from the workspace by simply selecting them from the View menu or the toolbar. There is no limit to how many of them can be active at a time, and you can organize them freely.
