This is a small program that offers you some control over your monitors. All you need is an internet connection and you're good to go. It creates a web server from where the monitors can be controlled, and you will be able to do it from other PCs as well.

You do not need to worry about someone else being able to control your device, though. The program has a whitelist where you can write down the IP addresses that you allow to use your device.

The UI itself doesn't allow you to do much. You basically use it to open up the web interface, where all the commands are situated.

There you have ten options. There are probably two of them that will be used the most, or at all. The first one would be to turn off the monitor immediately, and the second one is turning off the monitor after 15 seconds.

By using the "status" feature, it shows you whether the monitor is on or off. This is useful when done from a different PC, as you can tell if the main one is being used or not.

In relation to this, you also have the "idle" option. When you click on it, it shows you how many milliseconds passed since the device was last used.

A questionable command is the "standby" one, which literally has a description next to it that reads "probably does nothing." Why anyone would bother creating something that does not do anything is anyone's guess.

The program can have its uses. If your monitor is placed somewhere out of reach and you want to turn the display off immediately, then it can be good. You can also utilize it to check on your computer when you are not in front of it.

It isn't the most important program ever created, but it does allow you to do some interesting things.
