IdentProtocol is an application that runs as a Windows service and listens to ident requests in order to respond with the right info. It comes with a standard installer, but it lacks a GUI, running only in the background, and it can be configured by editing an INI file.

When an ident request is received, the service responds with the current user account and, optionally, the computer name. If more than one instance of the service is running at the same time, IdentProtocol works in conjunction with itself and requests are relayed correctly.
