Money Magnet is a Modern UI app that you can use to keep track of your budget. You can manage your income and expenses, choose categories, and write notes.

Designed as a Metro application for computers running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10, the program can be downloaded and installed from the Windows Store in just a couple of clicks.

The main window has a simplistic and elegant appearance along with an intuitive layout. A new transaction can be added to the budget tracker by specifying the amount of money, date and time, category, and notes.

The income groups are represented by green icons (salary, bonus, gifts, other) while expenses are highlighted in red (home, food, electricity, fuel, education, pets, love, other).

All transactions are recorded in two columns with recent incomes (green tiles) and expenses (red tiles). Worth noting is that both past and future transactions can be added. However, they are not organized by time.

To view all incomes or expenses, right-click somewhere on the window to bring up two horizontal, purple bars and click the corresponding buttons on the upper-left corner.

As far as app preferences are concerned, it's possible to change the interface language. Also, you can take a screenshot of the visible content and share the picture using an external Modern UI program.

Unfortunately, the money tracker doesn't leave room for customization. For instance, it's not possible to modify the background color, create new transaction categories, or export the report to file.

All things considered, Money Magnet offers a simple interface and straightforward options for managing your incomes and expenses. On the other hand, it doesn't have customization settings to let you control more aspects of your finances.
