In the list you can check out the original and new name, size, extension, date of last modification along with location of each file. So, you can configure filename properties by including a prefix, unique parameter (numbers, letters, dates) and separator (e.g. dash), as well as by changing the extension.
Furthermore, you can insert text at a specific position or remove characters, use a search-and-replace function (e.g. regular expressions, case sensitive), insert keywords and EXIF keywords, as well as rename lists.
Additionally, you can set File Renamer Basic Keygen to automatically copy or move files after renaming them, preview results before applying changes, check or uncheck all files, create and save profiles, enable File Renamer Basic Keygen to automatically sort the filelist, change the interface theme, and others.
The program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a comprehensive help manual with snapshots, quickly applies modifications to files and folders, and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests.
File Renamer Basic doesn't recognize files from the desktop and you cannot move or copy items to that location. The unregistered version has some restrictions (e.g. view log file, undo filename changes, scan subfolders) but they are fair. We highly recommend File Renamer Basic to all user levels.
ChangeLog
- Fixed the main issue with the EXIF module. Now File Renamer will correctly pull the date created (as well as all the other EXIF information). In addition, you can now right click on any file in the list, and click on the menu entry to view All the EXIF tags contained in that particular file. You can also use any of these tags in the "advanced" tab now. The tags are case sensitive, so if you use the advanced tab, be sure to use the tags exactly as you see them listed in the "tag viewer".
- We also fixed an issue on the central 'Check for Updates server' that should fix the issue of File Renamer not being able to reach the update server.
